Abstract
The ECHR case law on migration law has been disappointing in recent years, treating migrants and refugees as if they were ‘sons of a lesser God’. The migration crisis at the door of Europe has compounded this trend to downgrade the human rights protection of migrants and refugees. The Strasbourg Court must resist the political pressure put forward by some Governments and remain faithful to its traditional migrants- and refugees-friendly case law.
