Abstract
With the order n. 207 of 2018, the Italian Constitutional Court postponed to September 2019 the decision on the constitutional illegitimacy of the crime of assistance in suicide. After having provided an overview of the "Cappato" case, the paper focuses on the contents of the order of the Constitutional Court and identifies some of the profiles on which it is desirable for the Parliament to intervene, in order to provide a more complete safeguard to the right to die with dignity.
