Abstract
The study of the transition from representation to presentation is central to Freedberg’s essay, The Power of Images, and proves to be particularly useful for analyzing specific characteristics of technical images and the relationship that the viewer establishes with the latter. To deepen this investigation, the thoughts expressed by Sartre, Ortega y Gasset and Morin will be analyzed in order to approach them with Freedberg’s observations.
