Abstract
This issue of «Intersections» brings together contributions on the subject of the legacy and vitality of classical German philosophy in the contemporary age. The intention behind the work was to try to sound out the interests that this tradition still arouses today, to investigate its relapses and reformulations, to collect the traces that it has possibly disseminated in the way of perceiving issues or formulating certain questions. The criteria that inspired the collection were not thematic or authorial, but rather guided by a diachronic sensitivity, an openness to non-European contexts and a transcultural and trans-sectorial logic. The result is a collection of plural and sometimes unexpected voices that tries to provide a map, albeit incomplete, of the ways in which a great philosophical tradition such as the German idealistic tradition of the 19th century lives or falls silent in our time.
