Abstract
The contribution deals with a specific field of the Museums life: the art exhibitions. In particular, the article focuses on the so-called dossier-exhibitions, analysing their features and diffusion. After having demonstrated the role played by the Louvre in their achievement since the 1970s, the author gives an account of several dossier-exhibitions and explains how they have been meeting the needs of the museum. More in general, the article explores the validity of this exhibition model in the current overview.
