Abstract

This paper examines Boccaccio's involvement in the visual arts. Most of the drawings and illuminations that decorate the manuscripts in his possession have been attributed to him. A closer look at the material, however, leads the scholar to drastically reduce the number of the drawings that have actually been executed by Boccaccio himself.
