Abstract
A brief discussion arisen from Oswald Spengler's postscripts, Ich beneide, jeden der lebt, suggests some possible prompts food for thought on a starting point for research on relationship between european conscience and german culture and thought of the first half of 20th century. The leading concepts of this discussion (myth, memory, Conservative revolution and autobiography), represent the hermeneutic concepts of the modern age.
