Abstract
The recent publications of Insegnare a Trasgredire (2020) and Elogio del Margine/Scrivere al buio (2020) gift us with the critical thinking of bell hooks and its transformative potential. Margin, engaged pedagogy, standpoint, experience and memory are all entagled in the exercise of the gaze. In this essay, the foundational arguments of the two volumes will be analyzed and will be weaved with both the elaborations proposed by Françoise Vergès in Un Femminismo Decoloniale (2020) and the feminist voices presented in the collection Il luogo della parola (2017) by Djamila Ribeiro.
