Abstract
Presenting the website www.storiemigranti.org is an intense reflection of the necessity for a virtual archive on the histories of migration. Taking cue from Gabriella Ghermandi's book, Regina di fiori e di perle, Sossi aims to demonstrate how the histories of migration - beyond the temporal and spatial linearity of the nation-state - put the traditional method of historiography and its pretence of unity and universality into crisis. The only practicable solution for those who do not intend to render themselves complicit with the invisibilization of "subaltern presents", is that of activating a virtual and therefore plural here and now, a site able, through its modality of dissemination in fragments, to account for the necessary partiality and plurality of the histories of constrained subjectivities, and, with them, the stories of everyone.
