Abstract
The central theme of this article is the relationship between anthropological research and contemporary art. The text presents the work of some living artists who look at art in terms of cultural, social and political responsibility. The role of these creators, communicators and interpreters leads them to address a variety of methodological, personal and epistemological issues - such as reflexivity, difference, identity and cultural otherness - that arise when art tries to question anthropological authority and ethnographic fieldwork.
