Abstract
In Latin America, and specifically in Argentina, the relationship between researchers and environmental activists is vital and prolific for both parties. Ecological conflicts have high human and political costs, and research helps to understand the regional contexts in which collective action occurs and to share the diverse experiences across the subcontinent. Environmental activists require the active participation of researchers and a clear stance.
