Abstract
Gianni Scalia, director of the journal "In forma di parole" whose subtitle is "musing and writing poems", deals with the theme of translation in an interview where he discusses the theses of Antoine Berman and Paul Ricoeur. He explains his statement "translating is translating oneself", where the self is not the ergo but the "soi-même-autre". He introduces the idea of transductility: translation is a process that does not only modify the original text but also the translator's language.
