Abstract
Happiness is a fundamental societal metric. Normally it is measured through self-reported answers to questionnaires which do not necessarily reflect experienced utility of respondents. In this article, we examine the possible uses of different methodologies in order to assess empirically the level of well-being, hedonic state or happiness of human beings.
