Abstract
The economy of the Mauritius Islands is growing and its population is relatively well off. However, the drastic fall of employment in the sugar and textile industries has led to an occupational crisis. The country lacks the skills required for the economic and financial sectors while unemployment is around 8 and 9%. In order to deal with this situation, starting from 2007- 2008, the government has adopted a circular approach to launch new migratory policies.
