Cities are where most of the world's population is concentrated. By the end of 2050, 66% of the world's population will live in cities and nearly 90% in urban contexts1. Cities must therefore have a profound knowledge of innovation and urban planning must consider resilience to climate change. Nature-based solutions can become part of the toolkit to make cities safer and more resilient in terms of environmental change.
