Abstract

Is prosperity possible without growth? In his presentation at the meeting «Circular. L'economia che fa sistema» (Milan, December 3, 2018), Tim Jackson challenges the pursuit of exponential economic growth and argues that it is time to think of a different kind of economy, a circular economy of care, craft and creativity that protects employment, fosters social investment, reduces inequality and delivers both ecological and financial stability.
