Abstract
The circular economy is one of the many pathways to shared value creation that spread in Western democracies after the 2008 crisis. Shared value creation is the symptom of a new model of development parallel to that of pre-crisis capitalism. It responds to the emerging social demand for an economy that is embedded in society after decades of separation.
