Abstract

The circular economy will change the structure of production processes and the roles, tasks and skills of the workers employed in most economic sectors. The article analyzes the quantitative impacts on the various fields, both in terms of growth and the decline in employment, based on available forecasts. It then focuses on the skills needed to manage a sustainable transition from the current economic paradigm to the circular economy by putting forth some possible strategies.
