Renewable energy and gendered livelihoods in low-income communities in Accra

Download

Abstract

Despite recent studies on energy and gendered livelihoods, there is limited knowledge available to guide empirical study on feasibility, adaptability, accessibility, possibilities and gendered challenges of renewable energy usage in low income urban communities. In view of that, this paper seeks to develop a framework that will guide future empirical studies aimed at interrogating the nexus between renewable energy access, usage and gendered livelihoods.
