Abstract

The purpose of the article is to analyze, from the point of view of political history, how Italian fascism reacted to the occurrence of natural disasters, in particular earthquakes. Therefore, the legislative and technical instruments with which the Mussolini regime faced the seismic catastrophes are taken into consideration, as well as the political implications consequent to the momentary crisis determined by the emergency, both in terms of relief and reconstruction
