Abstract

Following Mazzini’s embryonic claims for the social, legal and political equality of women and men, Anna Maria Mozzoni was able both to develop a feminist theory – whose assumptions have kept their argumentative force intact over time – and to promote petitions, associations and demonstrations to stimulate institutions and society to concretize the sexual equality she argued in theory
