Abstract
The paper retraces the dispute between the Istituto nazionale delle assicurazioni and the Employees of its most important agencies; the contractors were removed because of their relations with fascism, so the Employees and their trade union tried to keep the agencies run directly by the Ina. They didn’t succeed but, with the deal of June 1947, the Employees forced the Istituto to guarantee the rights gained through direct management. The agreement, far from being effective, will be the very start of the dispute based on the role of the Ina, claimed by the Employees but disowned by the Istituto.
