Abstract
In the long political process of Salvatore Mannironi, which lasted from the Constituent Assembly until the fifth Republican legislature, the government activity – carried out from 1954 to 1971, the year of his death – is relevant. As Undersecretary of State and finally as Minister, in the management of delicate dossiers of post-war reconstruction and democratic rebirth, the constant attention to the problems of Sardinia harmonizes with a rigorous protection of the national interest, and with an eye to the concrete needs of the population, confirming a conception of politics as a service to the country
