Abstract
The parliamentary activity of Mariano Pintus outlines the profile of a parliamentarian of considerable intellectual and cultural depth, with well-planted roots in his native Sardinia and the look on the future of Italy and Europe. Democratic-Christian deputy from the second to the fifth republican legislature (1953-1972), he showed great attention not only to the problems of his territory, but also to the stabilization and functioning of the new democratic State and to the European and international position of Italy.
