Abstract
This paper presents the first analysis of Stanislaw Lesniewski's early works (1911-1913). It also considers the almost unknown "logical Studies" (1913), the modified Russian version of his first two articles. The common view that the early writings are not useful for understanding Lesniewski's contributions is criticized. A new periodization of Lesniewski's work is proposed on the basis of a progressive reduction of entities in his universe, from the rejection of Marty's judgment contents (1912) to the later radical nominalist view denying the existence of properties and relations.
