Abstract

The essay aims to explore the main theoretical paths that constitute Paolo Parrini’s philosophical thought. Three fundamental topics are identified: epistemology and philosophy of science, philosophy of knowledge and meta-philosophy, that is a reflection on the methods and nature of philosophy. The result is the emergence of a synthetic approach, i.e., a philosophical perspective whose main stylistic feature is the deep and virtuous integration between apparently separate and conflicting instances from a theoretical and methodological as well as a historical point of view.
