Abstract
The war in Ukraine has an ambiguous impact upon the form of war. On the one hand, it seems to sweep away both the reality and the rhetoric of the so-called «new wars», as well as the alleged obsolescence of major wars. On the other hand, the war in Ukraine also lays bare the ongoing crisis of any normative concept of war: the re-legitimation of the resort to force, the blurring distinction between war and peace, and the crisis of neutrality
