Abstract
In describing our experience, we have to start with the notion that in viewing our environment we orient ourselves on the specific properties of our senses and our brain. We do that in the way we have been trained in our culture. We find that these properties are modified according to our culture, which not only orients our minds but already directs our brain activity. Neural activity, thus, is not merely an effect of evolution, it is likewise reflecting a culture, and it should be interpreted in this twofold sense as a unity.
