Abstract
Through the analysis of Alberto Martinengo (ed.), "Beyond Deconstruction", the author shows that the original meaning of deconstruction lies in the still largely unfulfilled need to explain genealogically the basic concepts and categories of Western thought. In this perspective the book's leading idea of the passage from deconstruction to reconstruction is due to the misunderstanding, or the refusal, of the genealogical problem.
