Abstract
The paper presents and critically discusses two recent books on the first person, namely Christopher Peacocke's "The Mirror of the World. Subjects, Consciousness and Self-Consciousness" and Herman Cappelen and Josh Dever's "The Inessential Indexical: On the Philosophical Insignificance of Perspective and the First Person".
