Abstract
In her recent book, Introduzione alla filosofia delle emozioni, Pia Campeggiani proposes a philosophical introduction to contemporary research on emotions. The route suggested by Campeggiani consists in three main stages: expression, experience and action. Every single stage is a different way to understand emotions. In this paper, the author reconstructs Campeggiani’s work comparing it with two recent Italian books about emotions: Come funzionano le emozioni. Da Darwin alle neuroscienze by Fausto Caruana and Marco Viola, and Il fascino dell’emozione by Marco Menin. The aim is to recognize both relevant moral issues and the most promising theoretical framework for future research on emotions
