Abstract

The paper explores the overall opportunities offered by the quantitative methods in the human rights research. Consequently, the most relevant open questions linked with the use of quantitative methods in the field of human rights are analyzed. Then the paper describes the scientific projects aimed at measuring human rights (PTS and CIRI Human Rights Data Project). Finally the paper deepens the s.c. "de jure" approach and the quantitative gender analytical studies.
