Abstract
It is about forty years Louise Brown, the first baby tube, was born. Their parents had fertility problems and thanks to Assisted Reproduction Technologies (ART) they had a daughter. In this paper, we expose the evolution of these technologies until now and its probable developments. At the same time, we examine the role the Law has played in this matter. Finally, we consider the sided effects of the ART's and we ask whether they should be ruled as a means to overcome the fertility problems of couples or as alternative to coital reproduction.
