Abstract

In this essay I aim to investigate the structure of the two main discourses currently existing around the concept of the Anthropocene: Promethean Discourse and Geological Discourse. This is done by analyzing the discursive conditions of possibility of both, i.e. the ideas, associations and perspectives that, in both of them, make it possible to talk in one way or another about the Anthropocene. I also analyze the possible political declinations of both these discourses.
