Abstract
The author analyzes the meaning of philosophy for politics in the post-metaphysical thought of Richard Rorty. By considering Rorty's last books and essays, the author explains that political philosophy, after the deconstruction of metaphysics carried out primarily by Heidegger, Nietzsche and Derrida, does no longer deal with objective truth, but only with an endless pragmatic process of amelioration.
