Abstract

The Journal "Erkenntnis" printed the number VII in 1940 but, due to the outbreak of the war, it was published only in 1976. The number contained an undoubtedly significant essay by Hans Kelsen dedicated to the social and normative interpretation of nature in particular and to the genesis of political order in general. Essential in this study is the emancipation of the idea of causality from the principle of retribution. Kelsen's text is published in Italian for the first time.
