Abstract
Through a etymologic analysis, the essay presents the concept of "vulnus", wound as the result of a violent and traumatic laceration of skin and tissues. Together with this meaning, the kabbalistic speculation introduces the idea of a non-violent and creating type of wound, that comes from the inside and does not only contradict the former characteristics of "vulnus" but also places it in a broader context that includes its healing. Meaningfully, this healing is a "cosmic" one and takes shape in a shared world characterized by the power of action.
