Abstract
The article aims to start a dialogue on the Italian translation of the critical edition of Max Weber's Works (Max Weber Gesamtausgabe), taking as reference points the translation of the following three volumes: MWG I/22-5 (The City); MWG I/22-1 (Community) and MWG I/22-2 (Religious Communities). Particular attention is drawn to the following key concepts: Vergesellschaftung/Vergemeinschaftung and Herrschaft/Macht/Gewalt.
