Abstract

The title of the essay could have been "Nancy and Political Theology". Yet the paradoxical reference to a «lacking» connection with Erik Peterson makes the title more «com¬plete», since it suggests that Nancy should have paid more attention to the comparison between Carl Schmitt and Erik Peterson. Moving from this observation, the essay shows an explanation both of Nancy's "pretension" of working for a «decostruction of monothe¬ism» and of his finding back a «resource beneath the Christianity».
