Abstract
In 1853 Comte sent a letter to the Turkish Prime Minister in order to speed up the coming of a new positive religion. This essay aims to clarify the theoretical effort made by the founder of sociology to overcome Western relativism and Eastern fundamentalism in the name of a common anti-theological political struggle.
