Abstract
The essay presents the edition with commentary of a previously unknown short 13th-century poetic composition. It demonstrates its origin from the Brescia area and its pertinence to the most archaic phase of the development of the laudistic genre. Concerning some graphic and phonetic aspects, the linguistic analysis of the text makes use of research into the vernacularisms found in the Latin of the medieval notarial documentation of Brescia.
