Abstract
This essay presents the methodological foundation of a so-called «differential comparison». The epistemological gain of this method is illustrated by two important literary and cultural practices commonly universalized and lacking differentiation: the rewriting of Greek myths and of canonical fairy tales (as Little Red Riding Hood). Comparative differential analysis proves them to be profoundly dialogical and intertextual.
