Abstract
In this article, I will study two fundamental aspects of expectations: how expectations are formed in the mind of a cognitive agent, and the relationship between the agent’s expectations and its motivations. I will delineate the essential elements of a formal model of expectation dynamics based on the mind’s associative mechanisms
