Abstract

This article summarizes the key role of Domenico Parisi in initiating, promoting, and shaping three institutional initiatives that were instrumental to ensure the successful development of cognitive sciences in Italy (and beyond): the Institute of Psychology (now Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies) of the National Research Council (ISTC-CNR), the Italian Association of Cognitive Sciences (AISC), and this very same journal, Sistemi Intelligenti
