Abstract

In this paper, I tell the story of how I met Domenico. I do this mostly by reporting some email exchanges we had on various scientific and political themes. I would like to thank Domenico for everything. I especially highlight two things Domenico taught me (I do not mean I am able to do these two things, but he taught me how to do them through his example and incited me to try): to think (and write) clearly and to think strongly, taking a clear position.
