Abstract
The article highlights the importance but also the theoretical problems raised by the dialogue between law and cognitive psychology through an example taken from European consumer law: the prohibition of misleading commercial practices. The recent psychological literature is both necessary and problematic in evaluating what amounts to a deceiving practice.
