Abstract
What are the boundaries of the mind? Recently, a heated debate sprung from Chalmers and Clark's seminal paper on the extended mind. In this commentary to Di Francesco and Piredda's paper, we address two fundamental issues: the nature of the mind and the criteria that define whether something belongs to a given mind. Can the conscious mind be extended too? Finally, we emphasize that these issues have already been addressed by behaviorism and that this tradition may be fruitfully reconsidered.
