Abstract

In this article it is argued that the approaching of psychoanalysis to cognitive sciences originates not from its peripheral, let alone secondary aspects, but - on the contrary - from the central characteristics of its evolution. The comparison between the evolution of modern psychoanalysis and the cognitivist trends arises with reference to the fact that since long a process of revision of the Freudian canon is underway.
