Abstract
The Author explores the Italian prospects of a new period of development, in the aftermath of the crisis. He analyses the obstacles that in the past have thwarted a satisfactory expansion of our economy on the international markets. He considers the constraints within which the Italian policy making has to operate, and suggests some policy measures enabling to combine the need for a quick recovery to that of a positive and sustainable evolution in the medium-long run.
