Abstract
The Striani case represents the first case where the compatibility of Uefa break-even rule with Eu antitrust law was challenged. Although neither the Commission nor the national judge nor the Court of Justice, for different reasons, have ruled on the merits, the Striani case is a very important test case to analyze the different legal aspects, substantive and procedural, emerged at various stages of the proceedings.
